Miles, Turner & Porter, and Ogden Funeral Homes. As founder of Community Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services, John brings a wealth of experience in providing quality funeral services to families at their time of need.  He is dedicated to providing our community with a full range of affordable, quality funeral services.

Gary Stewart, Funeral Director Email: Info@CommunityAlternative.ca Website: www.CommunityAlternative.ca Office Phone: (705) 742-1875 Fax: (705) 742-0016 Gary earned his Funeral Director's License in 1960 and spent the early part of his career as a funeral director in the City of Peterborough.  Gary went on to a very successful career in private business as the founder of Stewart Travel.  He served as Peterborough County Warden for three terms, followed by two terms as MPP for Peterborough Riding and Cabinet Minister in the Ontario Government. In addition to serving families in need at Community Alternative, Gary is very active in our community

Rick Westlake, Funeral Director Email: Info@CommunityAlternative.ca Website: www.CommunityAlternative.ca Office Phone: 705-742-1875 Fax: 705-742-0016 Rick began his career in funeral service in 1986 and graduated from Humber College with a diploma in Funeral Service in 1988.  Since that time he has been employed in Peterborough and surrounding area as a licenced Funeral Director.  Rick has been heavily involved in his community over the years.  He has served as Past President of the Kiwanis Club of the Kawartha's, the Kiwanis Club of Scott's Plains and  the Kiwanis Club of Peterborough.  In 1995 Rick, along with his wife Leisa, were the founding co-chairs of the Children's Wish Foundation - Peterborough Chapter.  Rick has also served on the Bridge of the Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron as Historian.  Rick has served two terms on the Advisory Board of St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Peterborough and is a past Warden of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Lakefield.  Rick brings to the Community Alternative Funeral Home,  care and compassion for the families they serve that only experience can provide.

Kelly Liddycoat, Funeral Director Email: Info@CommunityAlternative.ca Website: www.CommunityAlternative.ca Office Phone: 705-742-1875 Fax: 705-742-0016 Kelly began her career in funeral service in 2005 working as a Funeral Directors Assistant and a Family Service Counselor at several funeral homes in the Kitchener area.  After attending Humber College, Kelly finished her apprenticeship at Community Alternative Funeral Home and attained her Funeral Directors License in October of 2010.  In addition to being a licensed Funeral Director, Kelly also handles the funeral home administration, and is often the first point of contact for families.
