Explanation of Services

 

Professional Services:

 

Arranging and Administration:  This service includes the availability of a licensed Funeral Director 24 hours a day, initial consultation and the funeral arrangements, coordination of the transfer from place of death, recording and filing of vital statistics, preparing and placing newspaper notices, preparing, obtaining the services of a Coroner if required, attending to all details regarding funeral services and final disposition.  This fee also contributes to the costs associated with maintaining our facilities, providing support staff, utilities, taxes, insurance and licenses.

 

Documentation:  This service includes the gathering, completion, registration and filing of all documents necessary to complete the selected arrangements.  It also includes up to 10 Proof of Death Certificates, Canada Pension Plan forms.

 

Transfer of Deceased:  Personnel to transfer the deceased from place of death to our facilities.

                       

Preparation:

 

Basic Preparation:  Dressing, setting features, and casketing of remains.  This service may also include special care of autopsied remains and antiseptic wash if necessary.

 

Embalming & Preparation:  All of the services provided with basic preparation plus embalming performed by a Licensed Funeral Director.

 

Staff Services:

           

Staff for Interment of Cremated Remains:  A staff person to call for Clergy if requested, confirm location of interment and meet family there.  The staff person will deliver all appropriate documentation to cemetery personnel.

 

Staff for Graveside Service :  A Licensed Funeral Director to call for Clergy if requested, confirm location of interment and meet family there.  The Funeral Director will coordinate and direct the graveside service, and deliver all appropriate documentation to the cemetery personnel.

Staff for Memorial Service:  A Licensed Funeral Director to coordinate and direct a memorial service with up to two hours of visitation.

 

Staff for Funeral Service:  A Licensed Funeral Director and staff to coordinate and direct a funeral service with up to two hours of visitation.

           

 

Facilities:

 

Preparation / ShelterUse of the funeral home for the embalming, basic preparation and / or shelter of remains.

 

Identification Room:  Use of a room in the funeral home for the identification of the remains prior to burial or cremation.

 

Chapel:  Use of funeral home for a funeral service.  Includes      parking, washrooms, chapel, and coffee service.

 

Visitation Room:  Use of the funeral home for visitation.  Includes parking, washrooms, visitation room and coffee service.

             

 

Automobiles:

 

All automobiles are priced at a flat rate per use up to a 40 Km radius from the Funeral Home and for up to a 3 hour period.  An additional charge of $1.40 per kilometer one way may be charged after 40 Km.  Overtime fees may be charged after 3 hours.

 

Clergy / Lead / Administrative Vehicle:  Automobile used to transport staff for arrangements, services, obtain and deliver documents, transport clergy, and lead funeral processions.

 

Coach:  Automobile used to transfer the deceased from our facilities to the place of service and final disposition.

 

Limousine:  Automobile used to transport up to 7 family members and/or Pall Bearers.

 

Transfer Vehicle:  Automobile used to transfer the deceased from place of death to the funeral home.

 

           

Stationery: 

 

Basic Register Package:  Includes a Basic Register Book, up to 50 Acknowledgement Cards, and up to 75 Prayer or Memorial Cards.
